Workstation Assessment Types

Comprehensive Workstation Assessment

   Who is it for?

  • Suitable for staff experiencing pain or injury, where a comprehensive assessment of their specific needs and an individual report is required. Includes employees returning to work following an extended absence due to injury or illness.

  

   Where?

  • At your office

OR

  • At the employee’s home
 
 

   Inclusions

  • 45-60 minutes per person
  • On the spot modifications/adjustments (e.g. chair, work surface height, screen height/distance, placement of keyboard/mouse, etc).
  • Advice and education on posture, workstation set up, safe work practices, both in general and specific to the complaint/injury.
  • If relevant, assessment of suitability for a sit-stand set up and education regarding optimal use.
  • For home based assessments, includes checklist of WHS issues relevant to WFH, including access/egress, slip/trip hazards, electrical safety, smoke detectors, etc.
  • Detailed report outlining relevant medical history and current status, any problems identified, modifications and recommendations (including equipment recommendations). Report provided via email within 3 working days

Basic Workstation Assessment

    Who is it for

  • A quick assessment designed to ensure your team is set up comfortably and safely, with brief individual written reports for HR records. Suitable for new starters without reported pain or injury, or for bulk assessments for injury prevention purposes

(NOTE: If an employee has a specific physical complaint, or is returning to work following a significant injury or illness, please consider referral for a Comprehensive Workstation Assessment as detailed above.)

   Where?

  • At your office

OR

  • At the employee’s home (remote option only).
 
 

   Inclusions

  • 20-30 minutes per person.
  • On the spot modifications/adjustments where applicable.
  • General advice on posture, workstation set up and safe work practices, including optimal use of a sit-stand set up.
  • Brief individual report summarising any problems identified, modifications and recommendations (including equipment recommendations). Reports provided via email within 5 working days

Remote Workstation Assessment

   Who is it for?

  • Suitable for employees working from home where a face to face assessment is not practical, e.g. due to COVID restrictions or geographic location.

   Where?

  • Remotely via Microsoft Teams or Zoom

   Inclusions

  • As per Comprehensive or Basic Workstation Assessment above.

Ergonomic Consultancy

      Consultancy services may include:

  • Walk-around type sessions (“Express Assessments”) where we visit a number of employees at their desks to provide advice (no individual reports). This can be a standalone service or can be added to a Workstation Ergonomics Training session. A summary report or email can also be provided on request.
  • Advice regarding office refit during the design phase. This may include facilitating a participative ergonomics program for the selection of furniture and equipment in consultation with your team.
  • Customisation of checklists/templates, e.g. WFH Checklist.
